Best Practices For A Smooth Flyboarding Experience
Feb 17, 2019
So you have made up your mind to try this amazing watersport despite the myths surrounding it. Well, congratulations! You should definitely go for it. If not for anything, you can brag about being the Aquaman for one day. Or for some minutes.
But before you mount the board, here are some tips to help you have an amazing flyboarding experience, even if it’s your first time:
Wear Safety Gears
If you have been following our blogs, you already know that we don’t joke with safety. The first thing you must do before mounting a flyboard is to wear the appropriate safety gears. For this, you need a body suit, boots, and a helmet tightly strapped to your head. This is very important so as to guarantee your safety throughout the session.
Follow Instructions
As a rule, when you rent a flyboard, you are assigned an instructor. Even if you are an expert, you still need an instructor who will be in charge of the throttle.
On the other hand, if you are a beginner, endeavor to adhere strictly to your instructor’s guidelines. Flyboarding is an amazing sport and also relatively safe when compared to other land and air sports. However, failure to adhere to instructions can lead to injury which will ruin the whole experience.
Also, no matter how experienced you think you are, do not go flyboarding when the weather condition is bad. Especially when there are high tide and strong wind. And always maintain a safe distance from the Waverunner. Adhering to these tips and listening to your guide will help you to avoid any possible harm.
Find the Right Balance
Balance is everything when it comes to flyboarding. If you are a newbie, finding the right posture will prove to be the most difficult aspect of the experience. That is another reason to listen to your guide.
A good guide will tell you the posture that will help you to sustain your balance. And if you listen and do as instructed, you will become an expert in no time. Flyboarding seems difficult when looking at it from the outside but once you on the water, everything becomes easier. I have seen some people who mastered balancing during their first session and before the third try, they are doing backflips.
Relax
If you are a first-time rider and really want to have an amazing flyboarding experience, fear is one thing you should try to suppress. Your mind, soul, and body should be in harmony so that you can focus on your balance.
Flyboarding is certainly an amazing sport but you must be willing to learn patiently. You will do backflips and other cool tricks but don’t be too fast to try them. Firstly, try to master the fundamentals and follow instructions, then other things will come to you naturally.
